Do Hong Kong citizens need a visa to travel to Vietnam?

Yes, Hong Kong citizens are required to have a visa when traveling to Vietnam.

Hong Kong citizens can choose to apply for a different type of visa, depending on the purpose of their visit to the country.

Vietnam e-visa for Hong Kong citizens

Documents required for Vietnam e-visa from Hong Kong include:

• A soft file of valid passport which is valid at least 6 months from the departure date to Vietnam

• A digital photo in JPEG, PNG format which is recently taken for the visa application. The photo should be in color and taken against the white background.

• Email address: this email is used to send a notice to applicant when the e-visa is successfully issued or denied

• Credit/debit card: it is used to make the payment for e-visa fee online

How to apply for e-visa:

• You complete the visa application form online and make the payment

• After 3-5 working days, you will go to check the email registered for e-visa application to receive and download your visa results

To get visa on arrival at the Vietnam airport, Hong Kong travelers should have all documentation as listed as bellows:

• Valid passport (for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Vietnam)
