Do Fiji citizens need a Vietnam visa?

Fiji country is not in the exempt country list for Vietnam visa, so Vietnam visa is required for Fiji citizens.

In addition to a valid visa for Vietnam, travelers with Fiji passports should hold a passport with at least 6-month validity since their arrival date in Vietnam and have 2 empty pages on their passport for entry and exit stamp.

Vietnam visa on arrival for Fiji nationals

Fiji citizens are eligible for visa on arrival visa on tourist or business purpose, there are several obligatory Vietnam requirements a visitor must comply with.

Depending on the purpose of travel, citizens from Fiji who wish to obtain a visa on arrival visa need to provide the following documentation:

Vietnam tourist visa

•  A valid passport copy which is valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of arrival in Vietnam

•  Return trip ticket

•  Hotel booking

•  Travel itinerary in Vietnam

Vietnam business visa

•  A valid passport copy which is valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of arrival in Vietnam

•  A business certificate of Vietnam based sponsor company

•  Form NA2

•  Form NA16

•  Tentative business plan in Vietnam

Steps to apply for Vietnam visa on arrival for Fiji citizens

•  Submit your visa application with documents required online

•  Make payment for visa approval letter with credit card

•  Receive a visa approval letter by email

•  Print out the visa approval letter and bring it to Vietnam airport to get visa stamped on your passport

Visa on arrival procedure at the Vietnam airport

Once Fiji travelers land in the Vietnam airport, they go to the immigration area to submit the documents as follows in order to get visa sticker on their passport

•  Valid passport (for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Vietnam)

•  A copy of visa approval letter

•  A completed Vietnamese visa application form

•  02 passport sized photos

•  Stamping fee in cash

Remember to print at least 01 copy of visa approval letter because when entering/exiting the country, you have to present it to the Immigration Officer. We highly recommend keeping a copy one anytime during the day in Vietnam.

Vietnam visa fee for Fiji passport holders

•  The fee for Vietnam visa on arrival for Fiji passport holders includes the visa service fee to get visa approval letter and the stamping fee to have visa stamped at the Vietnam airport.

Vietnam Embassy visa for Fiji citizens

An alternate option for Fiji tourists is to receive a visa at Embassy of Vietnam. However, this is often more time-consuming and requires some preparation before traveling to Vietnam.

Currently, there is no embassy or consulate of Vietnam in Fiji. In order to apply for a Vietnam Visa beforehand at Vietnamese Embassy, travelers from Fiji must visit Vietnam embassy or consulate in the nearest country or in a country they are staying to submit their visa application.
