Do Indonesian citizens need a visa to enter Vietnam?
Indonesian citizens do not need a visa when travelling to Vietnam. Vietnam tourist visa is free for Indonesian citizens. The stay is usually short with a period of 30 days and visa expires in 30 days.

How to get Vietnam visa for Indonesian citizens
In order to obtain a visa to Vietnam, there are 2 legitimate ways for Indonesian citizens to get a Vietnam visa.
Vietnam visa on arrival
Visa on arrival is a type of travel document that Indonesian visitors can obtain a visa when they are reaching to Vietnam. To apply for this method, it’s compulsory to have a visa approval letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department before traveling to Vietnam. Upon their arrival, they just need to present the original passport, a copy of visa approval letter, Vietnamese visa application form, 02 passport sized photo and stamping fee to get visa stamp on their passport
Note:
• Currently, if Indonesian citizens come to visit Vietnam within 30days (single entry) for tourism purpose without applying for Vietnam visa. The other types of tourist visa on arrival are not resumed yet.
• For business purpose, Indonesian passport holders have to get a sponsor company in Vietnam to help them with a visa approval letter.
Vietnam visa at the Embassy
An embassy visa for Indonesian passport holders is another kind of travel documents that must be obtained before departure from an embassy or consulate. It’s highly suggested for Indonesian passport holders to get a visa at the Vietnamese embassy if they are entering Vietnam by seaport or land port.
Vietnam visa costs for Indonesian citizens
The costs of Vietnam visa depend on the type of visa they wish to apply for
• Vietnam visa on arrival: There are two types of fee for visa on arrival which are visa service fee and stamping fee. The stamping fee is 25usd for single entry and 50usd for multiple entry which is valid up 3 months. Regarding to the fee of visa approval letter, please contact us for the precious price.
