Jordanian nationals planning a short-term visit to Vietnam for tourism and business will need a visa to enter the country. There are two visa methods which Jordanian citizens can choose. The first method is to obtain a visa through an embassy or consulate of Vietnam in advance. The second method is to apply for visa on arrival and collect a visa upon arrival.

Vietnam visa at the Embassy

Currently there is no embassy office of Vietnam in Jordan, therefore Jordanian citizens are advised to visit the nearest country where there is the Vietnamese embassy to apply for a Vietnam visa.

For those who enter Vietnam through a land port or seaport, they have to apply for a visa at the Vietnam Embassy before they are travelling to Vietnam. However, if Iranian travelers are getting into Vietnam through the airport, visa on arrival is the best option for them.

Vietnam tourist visa on arrival for Jordanian citizens

Vietnam Visa on arrival does not need an interview, unlike the traditional extensive visa application through an embassy. Jordanian citizens can get Vietnam visa on arrival for tourism purpose. The stay is usually short with a period of 30 days. By obtaining a visa in this way, they have to get a visa approval letter before traveling to Vietnam.

To apply for a tourist visa to Vietnam, you need the following documents:

• A soft file of valid passport which is valid at least 6 months from the departure date to Vietnam

• Hotel booking

• Return ticket booking

• Travel itinerary in Vietnam

Vietnam visa processing upon arrival

On arrival, the traveler should head to the window marked “landing visa”. The immigration window is only for people who already have the visa. If the traveler hasn’t already filled the application, it is advised to complete the visa on arrival form by the window.

Once completed, the traveler should submit:

• A valid passport

• A copy of visa approval letter

• Vietnamese visa application form

• 02 passport sized photos

• Stamping fee in US Dollar in cash

After providing all the documentation, travelers are asked to wait. The name of the traveler will be called when their application has been reviewed.

Vietnam business visa on arrival for Jordanian citizens

To obtain a business visa, Jordan’s passport holders must have a sponsor company based in Vietnam.

Here is the list of documents required for a business visa:

• A valid passport copy which is valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of arrival in Vietnam

• A business certificate of Vietnam based sponsor company

• Form NA2

• Form NA16

• Tentative business plan in Vietnam

Their sponsor company will submit these documents to the Vietnamese Immigration Department and need to wait from 5-7 working days to get a visa approval letter

When the visa approval letter is issued, Jersey travelers will bring a copy of the visa letter along with Vietnamese visa application form, 02 passport sized photos and stamping fee in order to get a full visa stamped on their passport at Vietnam airport.

How much does it cost for a Vietnam visa for Jordanian citizens?
